This calendar is a special tribute to the simple and often hard lives of small, insignificant people. They do not command battles, they do not get monuments, no schoolbook mentions them. And yet wisdom flourishes within them, which is then taken up by learned people and written down in books. Their lives, surrounded by nature and the will to survive, are the world in which true wisdom and love first grow.
