Labrador Retriever 2022

The Labrador is originally from Newfoundland on the east coast of Canada. His job was to help the fishermen by bringing back aborted nets and fish. This is the cornerstone for his love of water and fetching passion, which still distinguish him today. The Labrador is considered to be an extremely adaptable and philanthropic dog, open-minded, good-natured and difficult to get upset. He is relatively easy to train, easy to motivate and usually very compatible with other dogs. But every Labrador has an affinity for water, mud puddles and retrieving games. A young Labrador is full of energy, is playful, but can be very distant and pushy towards strangers and dogs. What is left of it in the adult dog is in the hands of the owner. The Labrador is hardly suitable as a guard dog. Most Labradors would still carry the burglar's torch for a piece of sausage at the latest.
