HipHopDance

Hip-hop dance originated around 40 years ago and is a combination of different types of dance. Back then, it was mainly African-American youth from poorer residential areas who danced to hip-hop music in the streets. The street dances became famous all over the world through movies. Today hip-hop is a real sport, with competitions, clubs and everything that goes with it. The photographer & digital artist Dirk Meutzner has taken on this topic and projected the dancers into fantastically abstract worlds. The result is this uniquely wonderful calendar.
