Ordinary things appear in a new light. Kurt Lochte uses the effects of infrared photography and creates pictorially dreamlike motifs. In infrared or false color photography, the visible light is suppressed up to a certain spectral range with a corresponding filter in front of the camera sensor. The green leaves appear white because the chlorophyll reflects infrared light to an increased extent. The horizon looks clear. because infrared light penetrates haze.
