A calendar for anyone interested in forests and the landscapes in which they are created. Pictures are shown of the well-tended German forest, the barren landscapes of Africa, the abundant diversity of Australia and of one of the last rainforests in the United States, the Olympic National Park. The quiver tree forests offer a specialty in Africa. They are specially adapted, can withstand great heat and long periods without water. Since there are not very many, even the smallest groups are referred to as forests. The last picture shows (again in the USA) the remains of a dead forest that is slowly being destroyed by the aggressive waters of Yellowstone.
