Colored universe

People have been fascinated by the starry sky since time immemorial. For more than 400 years, this fascination has been increased by looking through ever larger and more powerful telescopes. But only photography with modern CCD cameras opens up a view of the unimaginable variety of colors in space. Reinhold Wittich is a gifted astrophotographer whose fantastic images are internationally recognized. His Deepsky calendar, only a few copies printed for family and friends in the first few years, has meanwhile advanced to become an astronomical cult object.
