Andalusian Winemaker 2022

The Bodeguero Andaluz is a Spanish terrier from Andalusia. In the meantime, however, he has found lovers all over Spain and Europe, because what distinguishes the dogs from many other terrier breeds is their gentle nature, their calm and poise. Its name comes from the Spanish word "bodega" (= wine cellar). In the cellars there used to be a lot of rats and mice that the bodegueros (= winemakers) had to take care of. The Spanish word for rat is "rata" and this is where the name comes from that is sometimes used for bodegueros in Spain: "Ratonero" = pied piper. The Bodeguero is an extremely adaptable dog, highly motivated, friendly and equipped with a good portion of hunting instinct, but when the Bodeguero has let off steam, he is a lovely cuddly toy in the house that can sleep through the day for hours. The dogs are very social because they are usually not kept as individual animals in Spain, but live freely on a farm with many other conspecifics and farm animals. His poise and adaptability make him an ideal family dog that is not upset.
