Cesky Krumlov or Krumau, as used in the German-speaking area, is a city in South Bohemia in the Czech Republic. The historic old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is picturesquely situated on a bend in the river Vltava. Winding alleys, a wonderful castle and the lovingly renovated old town invite you to linger. The German name Krumau is derived from "Krumme Aue".
