Usedom Island

The island of Usedom is also called the sunny island for good reason. With an average of 1906 hours of sunshine a year, it is the region with the most hours of sunshine and the sunniest island in the Baltic Sea. There are many seaside resorts with wide, fine sandy beaches on the island in eastern Germany. The most famous seaside resorts are certainly Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf on the German side of the island. But there is also much else to discover on Usedom. Away from the tourist resorts, you will find small sleepy villages with cute houses and the typical thatched roofs.
