The peony a flower with meaning

In Asia, the peony is regarded as the queen of flowers. It has great and diverse symbolic power. In the West, too, it is ascribed a variety of meanings, such as beauty, romance and luxury. For this calendar with its enchanting pictures of peonies, I have used the Chinese symbolic language as a basis and included it in the index.
