Nativity scenes are not only available at Christmas time. The "Serious Nativity", as the Passion Nativity is often called, shows the biblical events from Palm Sunday to Easter Monday. "I want to preach the gospel by making it visible," says nativity set builder Karl-Heinz Exner about his work. "Nativity scene appeals to the heart, soul, eyes and mind." Roland Rosenbauer photographed the small works of art.
