São Miguel - Green island in the Atlantic

Thanks to its volcanic origin, the largest Azores island has an incredible amount to offer: from black sandy beaches to hot springs, from the blue sea to shimmering green crater lakes. Old traditions are still preserved here and are anchored in the faith. In almost every place there are the typical white and black churches.
