San Gimignano in the province of Siena is also known as the "City of Towers" and "Manhattan of the Middle Ages". Of the imposing residential towers, with which wealthy families tried to outdo each other in the 11th - 13th centuries, there are still 15 of the original 72. The entire wonderful medieval town center was entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990. The photographer Christian Müller has compiled 12 beautiful views from San Gimignano in this calendar.
