Samana - palm trees and beaches

Aside from mass tourism, on the Dominican Samana peninsula you can still find Caribbean palm-tree beaches like from a picture book. Mother-of-pearl-colored powdered sugar sand, clear warm water that glows in shades of turquoise and blue and countless coconut trees. Here it looks a lot like the time of Christopher Columbus, who allegedly went ashore on one of Samana's beaches.
