Northwestern Spain

In the northwest of Spain you find Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and Castile - Leon which are very different from the rest of Spain by their nature, traditions and way of life. There are traces of Celtic and Roman origin from the coast up to the mountains Picos de Europa, starting with Covadonga where the Reconquista began. Impressive are the Medulas from Roman time. Stone granaries withstand the heavy storms while pilgrims come from everywhere to Santiago de Compostela. Enjoy with me the scenery of this part of Spain, a truly hidden secret.
