Ladenburg - The Roman city on the Neckar

The medium-sized Ladenburg, located between Heidelberg and Mannheim, is the oldest city in Germany on the right bank of the Rhine. Already for the Romans it was strategically important and through it got its city rights. Later, as the summer residence of the Worms bishops, many magnificent aristocratic courts and half-timbered houses were built, which are still very well preserved today. A tour of this history-steeped city is definitely worth it.
