Herding dog of the Shetland Islands - Shetland Sheepdog

The Shetland Sheepdog, affectionately known as the Sheltie, may be small, but like its larger relatives, it is a serious herding dog. He is bursting with temperament, wants to be there everywhere and is available for any activity. He obviously enjoys agility and other dog sports. Although his appearance is reminiscent of a collie and even non-connoisseurs of the breed might mistake him for a small collie, he is different in character and also differs in external things apart from his size. The Sheltie is a fun dog that wants to be part of the family and keep busy.
