The animal photographer Matthias Besant has now compiled impressive portraits of the leader of the western lowland gorillas in the Frankfurt Zoo, the Silverback VIATU, after his first photo-calendar 'MENSCHEN-AFFEN-KINDER'. The pictures on the 12 calendar pages show the variety of facial expressions of one of the most beautiful silverbacks, which leave the viewer a lot of space for individual interpretations. Viatu was born on December 20, 1998 in the Basel Zoo and has been living in Frankfurt Zoo since 2008.
