The Neustrelitz Castle Park, also known as the Neustrelitz Castle Garden, was laid out as a baroque garden by Julius Löwe in 1731/1732 after the completion of the residential castle of the city of Neustrelitz, which was founded in 1733, but was then extensively redesigned several times in the 19th and 20th centuries and expanded into a multi-part park. The preserved baroque visual axis, the "English Garden" designed in the style of English landscape gardens, the Luisentemple erected on a hill to commemorate the Prussian Queen Luise von Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the Hebetempel designed by Friedrich Wilhelm Buttel, a number of copies of antique and classicist ones Sculptures and the Neustrelitz Orangery on the eastern edge of the park still bear witness to the artistic taste of the nobility in the Classicist era.
