So small, so filigree: bonsai is the fascinating method of pruning trees so that they stay small. Bonsai belongs to Japanese garden art, probably comes from China, where it is called penjing and impresses us with graceful natural wonders. Branches, twigs, flowers and leaves, all in miniature.
