Between tradition and modernity: Israel

Israel oscillates between many poles: high-rise hotels by the sea for mass tourism next to lonely sandy beaches, vast, deserted deserts next to densely populated cities, centuries-old monasteries next to modern skyscrapers. The series of images takes you from the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem to the port in the old city of Akko, from the ancient city of Caesarea to the fortress of Masada.
